David Lutz handles complex civil litigation, primarily defending manufacturers in products liability litigation and representing defendants in commercial litigation. David has defended asbestos and silica litigation on behalf of over a dozen clients in multiple jurisdictions, including as regional counsel for some and national counsel for two.  He coordinates and manages all asbestos and silica litigation handled by the Minneapolis office. David also has experience in cases involving children and product liability litigation and drug and medical device litigation.

He has represented numerous clients in products liability litigation, including some of the world's largest manufacturers and products including motor vehicles, farm equipment, heavy industrial equipment, paint equipment, computer equipment, playground equipment, medical devices and all-terrain vehicles. He has also represented shareholders in close corporations and manufacturers in cases brought by terminated sales representatives, dealers and franchisees.

David is a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the General Rules of Practice and is listed on the Facilitative / Hybrid Minnesota Statewide ADR-Rule 114 Neutrals Roster.  He also serves as Co-Managing Partner of our Minneapolis office.
